Stop Press!

Trying to finish Cyprus trip. Four new videos uploaded into previous posts.

After trotting around Southeast Asia over the summer, I'm now back in the UK - Cambridge to be exact. Am trying my best to update as frequently as my clinical course will allow.

Entries on Italy and France two winters ago have been put on hold indefinitely. Read: possibly never. But we shall see.

Entries on Greece and Turkey last winter have also been put on hold for the time being.

Wangcheng Square

2:00 am. He queues up at a counter to try to get a train ticket from Luoyang to Beijing for that very same day. The lady at the counters searches through the database and tells him there are no sleeper tickets left. Only seater tickets. He remembers the train ride from Guangzhou to Guilin and politely declines.

3:00 am. He returns to the Luoyang train station and queues up at another counter to try again. The lady says there's a ticket and sells it to him. He walks back to his hostel where the receptionist tells him its the wrong ticket. He runs back to the station to get a refund within the 15 minutes the train is set to depart.

3:00 pm. He finally decides to try his luck and go to Qufu via Jin'an. The receptionist who's been trying to get him a train ticket to Beijing the whole morning has an idea and tells him to try the bus instead. He walks quickly to the bus station and finally manages to get a sleeper ticket to Beijing that very same night.
