Stop Press!

Trying to finish Cyprus trip. Four new videos uploaded into previous posts.

After trotting around Southeast Asia over the summer, I'm now back in the UK - Cambridge to be exact. Am trying my best to update as frequently as my clinical course will allow.

Entries on Italy and France two winters ago have been put on hold indefinitely. Read: possibly never. But we shall see.

Entries on Greece and Turkey last winter have also been put on hold for the time being.

Phnom Penh III

Boeng Kak Lake

I visited the backpackers' area by the banks of Boeng Kak Lake. It's a beautiful lake covered with aquatic plants on its surface. Many hostels have extended their bars over the lake by means of floating platforms and boats: an excellent place to catch the sunset. But what with all the tourists around, prices must be sky high. Plus, no way am I going to sleep in a room filled with mosquitoes.

The same goes for the riverside with its upscale bistros and bars as well as high-end cafes and restaurants.

Riverside

I really like the place I'm currently staying. It's not very far from the centre. And with a nearby market, it's so easy to get cheap local food. Plus, no bugs at night.
